Any degree for the job of warehouse manager is acceptable but most of the employers look for the candidate with graduation and some qualification in the logistics, transportation, distribution, business studies or retail management. Warehouse manager post is generally attained after the promotion from the junior levels only. You can also take a degree in the logistic management and supply chain management to get to the higher levels. Big companies offer 2 year training programs that also combine studies with the on job training.

The median salary of the warehouse managers is around $63,636. Warehouse managers can get into a lot of sectors, as the job prospects of this kind of job are great. Salaries for these managers are comparably good compared to the academic requirements for the job. The salary can also differ with the products that are stored in the warehouse and the size of the company.

If you want to make a mark as a warehouse manager, then you should be responsible and should have the capability to handle the team efficiently. The responsibility of the equipments and recruitment is also on these individuals. Reliability and honesty in the individual is required for this job. The person should be physically fit and should be able to cope up proficiently with the stressful working hours.
