To that end, she researches traditional, as well as unusual occupations, talking to a variety of professionals about what their jobs are really like. In all of her books she includes first-hand accounts from people who can reveal what to expect in each occupation, the upsides as well as the down.
Camenson's interests range from history and photography to writing novels. She is also director of Fiction Writer's Connection, a membership organization providing support to new and published writers.
Camenson was educated in Boston, earning her B.A. in English and psychology from the University of Massachusetts and her M.Ed., in counseling from Northeastern University.
In addition to On the Job, Blythe Camenson has written more than three dozen books for NTC/Contemporary Publishing Group.
