Summary:

This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Must have legible handwriting to properly complete Log

General climbing, lifting, pushing and or pulling (as needed)

Will travel to area poultry farms as scheduled to deliver feed

Must be able to perform Pre & Post Trip vehicle inspection

Ability to perform and complete routine paperwork

This position is primarily responsible for feed reclaim, you will also be responsible for hauling feed to the farms as well as filling in at other locations in NWA Live when needed and completing all other duties as assigned by management.. This position requires strict compliance with all Tyson policies and procedures specifically in feed haul procedures. Applicants must be able to maintain accurate logs and paperwork when required. Position is required to keep focus on safety in and out of the truck every hour of every day. Position is required to work weekends/holidays as need arises. Applicants must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat, and reach. Applicants must be willing to lift 25 lbs on a regular basis. Team Members who hold these positions must be willing to work in the outdoors, in sunny or cold, damp, humid environments often with a high concentration of allergens such as feed dust or chick down, will be working outdoors in extreme heat and/or cold conditions and requires driving during inclement weather, these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.

Job Requirements

Applicants must be 21 years of age and have at least one year of driving experience in a like vehicle/equipment, must have a valid Class A CDL, applicants must be able to maintain operational records, must report any safety concerns to supervisor, must maintain DOT records daily and must maintain compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations. Applicants will not be considered prior to 6 months post previous Tyson employment, applicants that have worked for Tyson Foods 3 times prior, will not be eligible for employment, applicants that do not show up on time for, tour, pre-employment drug test, post offer health assessment, orientation, or fail to reschedule any part of the pre-employment process unless arrangements are made in advance will not be considered further. Applicants that have a positive or adulterated drug screen or who are unable or refuse to give a sample will not be considered further and must wait a minimum of 6 months to reapply.

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.

Only applicants from the following counties in AR will be considered: Washington, Benton, and Madison, within a 50 mile radius of the Johnson Rd Feed Mill (Springdale) for Adair County in OK and McDonald County in MO.
