Job Description

This position will be responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer short distances. Home on a daily basis. Comply with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, adhering to Tyson's policies and procedures. This position is also responsible for loading cages at the chicken houses and pickup of live chickens in cages from Growers at various chicken houses. Must keep truck and equipment in good working order.

Must have a valid Class A CDL and 1 year verifiable driving experience. Cannot have a DUI within the past 10 years. Must be able to pass a D.O.T. Physical examination and Drug Screening as outlined in the D.O.T. Regulations. Must be able to pass a road test. Must be able to perform essential job functions to standard within 20 days. Must be willing to work flexible hours and some weekend. Must be a willing to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be willing to work in a hot, cold, humid & wet environment. Must observe all required hygiene & safety procedures at all times. Job requires bending, lifting, twisting, & turning. Must set an example for other team members in complying with all policies.
