This is a driver position responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

This is a position responsible for moving live haul trailers to the live receiving area for processing. Must be able to bound and unbound the chains on trailers. Must be able to wash the floor and the sides of the trailer, help load coops. Must be able to operate pallet jack and forklift and obtain required training for license. Generate all paperwork associated with each load. Must be able to fuel and oil truck as needed. Must be willing to do any other jobs assigned by supervisor. Must be willing to follow all animal well- fare and safety policies in the live receiving area. Must be willing to work any shiftfilling in for other drivers when on absent.

Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Must meet all the requirements of DOT to include 1 yr. OTR. Must have a valid CDL and DOT certifications. Must have computer skills. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions. Inside work in cold, damp and wet environment.
