Fleet Manager

The Fleet Manager is responsible for the alignment and implementation of the Fleet Management strategies with corporate policy, including staffing, recruiting, and training of the Fleet Management personnel in the related GeoUnit(s). This person monitors systems for tracking costs associated with Fleet Management and provide the most cost-effective solution taking into consideration service level and financial impact. With the Business Line management, the Fleet Manager develops and tracks specific management key performance indicators, targeting fraud, cost, and emissions reduction as well as optimal life cycle management of the Fleet related assets. The Fleet Manager is also expected to manage the relationship with assigned suppliers or group of suppliers, aligned with the strategy for Fleet and those suppliers’ Category.
Roles and Responsibilities:
As the Fleet Process Owner/Leader for the GeoUnit(s), implements common asset life cycle policies and procedures, training, and career development. This includes but is not limited to asset specification, procurement, leasing, allocation, billing, maintenance, repair, refueling, transfer, and disposal.
Ensure active Fleet inventory management:
Validate Fleet Management Company (FMC) databases regularly.
Validate Telematics monitors databases regularly.
Implement inventory audit schedule yearly to be actioned by the Business Lines.
Identifies key opportunities for cost or emission reductions and prepares action plans in conjunction with other stakeholders.
With the Business Process Improvement function:
implement, deploy, and sustain Fleet Administration & Management visibility tools in the GeoUnit(s).
With the Procurement & Sourcing and Legal functions:
help prepare contracts and negotiate revisions to contractual agreements.
Be Involved in the supplier evaluation and selection processes in coordination with quality standards.
Timely assist and help coordinate resolution for any payment issues identified by Supplier Manager via Statement of Account analysis related to Fleet suppliers;
Inventory accuracy.
Fuel Program usage/adherence.
Maintenance Program usage/adherence.
Optimal vehicle utilization.
Emissions reduction.
Ensure the Fleet assets are compliant with SLB Driving and Mechanical lifting standards.
Ensure Driving Safety monitors are installed and functional on all Light, Medium and Heavy-Duty Trucks within the Fleet inventory.
Communicate monthly the detailed expenses incurred and paid by Fleet. This includes Fuel, Services, Lease, Telematics, and other Fleet related costs processed monthly by the Fleet Administration team.
Track payment status for the Fleet related expenses, ensuring no late charge fees are being incurred unnecessarily or that the relationship with the supplier is not at risk.
Provide the mileage, fuel, and inventory data necessary for the IFTA returns filling.

Qualifications and Experience:
BA/MBA Degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering or Equivalent Minimum 10 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management/Operations
Interpersonal skills including high collaboration with others
Managing Change, Negotiating and Influencing, Facilitation and presentation
Must have good Leadership and management skills
Possess Strategic thinking abilities and be able to challenge established thinking
Must be Analytical and structured and be able to influence change
Must have Networking skills
Strong HSE culture and lead by example.
