The Visitation Center serves families whose children are in the care of the Department of Children, Youth and Families due to substance use or mental health concerns. Families are able to have supervised visits in a home-like setting while receiving support in their recovery. The Transportation Specialist provides transportation to and from supervised visits with biological families for children in out-of-home placements. Will communicate with foster parents and overall facilitation of scheduling visits with all parties involved. This position is also responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers at all times, including documentation for state, program, and agency standards and the implementation of individualized transportation plans. Must have excellent personal, organizational and communication skills. Also be willing to work with a dynamic, fun team while helping to make a huge difference in families' lives!
Education Requirements/Qualifications
: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and experience with children/youth or social service setting. Bi-lingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. You must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance. An excellent driving record required and be able to pass a driver’s license verification for driving agency vehicles. Will also be required to pass a DCYF clearance.
