This facility requires all applicants to be fully COVID vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated is two weeks after the final vaccination dose. The booster dose is recommended but not required at this time.

Department: Shipping - Fresh Plant Processing

Position: Yard Driver Operator

Work Shift: 3rd Shift

This facility may run 6-7 days a week, Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays as necessary.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas for production while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position is responsible for the following but not limited to:

Must be willing and able to follow all safety rules and plant GMP’s.

Maintain trailer seal log.

Check and fuel refrigerated trailers.

Shuttle trailers to needed docks and/or off-site locations.

Maintain daily trailer inventory sheets.

Report and damage or needed repairs to supervisor.

Keep equipment clean and orderly at all times.

Must be willing to cross train as material handler if necessary.

Assist with housekeeping in the yard and dock areas.

Perform any additional duties as needed to assist the department.

Must be will and able to maintain powered industrial truck certification.

Ability to use problem solving skills and work well under pressure.

Must be willing to communicate verbally with team members.

Must be willing to operate equipment safely.

Must be willing and able to lift 50lbs occasionally throughout shift.

Team members in this job classification shall experience prolonger exposure to temperature extremes ranging from 60 degrees to 120 degrees F with moderate noise levels.

Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands

Walking, bending, squatting, standing and repetitive lifting of up to 40 lbs. boxes from floor level up to a height of 7 ft., every 30 to 60 seconds

Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Six (6) months prior operator experience preferred

Safety: Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and ExcelCommunication Skills: Good interpersonal and communication skills arecritical
