Shag Driver

Profile

This position is responsible for operating a shag truck to move semi-trailers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

This position could work in any department of the PBX division. It requires using a shag truck to move semi-trailers and backing them into designated loading docks and parking areas. It requires frequent climbing into and out of the shag truck. Work is performed outside and therefore requires working in extreme hot and cold temperatures. The position also involves completion of paperwork as well as frequent communication using a radio to communicate with the shipping department. The Team Member must be willing to complete all required training for the job and perform any other duties as assigned.

Must be able to perform position tasks. In addition, must be available to work all shifts, including weekends, and available for overtime. The PBX division operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Must have a minimum of 3 months experience driving semi-trucks or heavy equipment. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License. No CDL is required. Only candidates from the following counties will be considered: Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, Adams, and Umatilla.
