Job Description

This position is responsible for loading racks of eggs onto the delivery truck transporting them to the hatchery while maintaining a safe work environment.

This position will be responsible for picking up eggs from the breeder farms. May also be required to deliver chicks to contract grower farms and fill in as a driver as needed. Must keep truck and equipment in good working order, maintain driver's daily logs and fill out all required DOT documentation. Other duties include operating forklift, haul pullets for pullet moves, move fan trailers, stack chick boxes and load chick trailers. Must be willing to work in hot or cold and dusty environments. Must be able to tolerate strong ammonia smell in chicken houses. Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to push and pull racks of eggs that are on wheels and can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. Must be able to calculate number of eggs that are picked up from the farm.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid class A CDL driver's license and meet the Tyson Driver Evaluations System requirements. Must have at least 1 year of OTR driving experience. Must have previous experience driving tractor/trailer, must have a good driving record, must have a current DOT medical card, no DUI/DWI conviction in the past eight (8) years in a personal vehicle. No DUI/DWI conviction in Commercial Motor Vehicle ever. No DOT Drug or Alcohol Violations including Roadside Inspection violations as identified on locations PSP report within the past three (3) years. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.
