This position is responsible for the transport and delivery of freight on time in a professional manner by driving diesel-powered tractor/trailer combinations short and long distances, while complying with Department of Transportation rules and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment, and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Primarily responsible for picking up chicks from Contract Growers at the various contract Grower Farms, may also be required to deliver eggs to the contract Grower farms, Must keep truck and equipment in good working order, maintain driver's daily logs and fill out all required DOT documentation legibly and completely, will be working outside and subject to seasonal weather, hot or cold and dusty environments, will be climbing up and down stairs to get to/from the work areas and steps in/out of the trucks.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid class A CDL driver's license and meet the Tyson Driver Evaluations System requirements. Must have at least 1 year of OTR driving experience. Must have previous experience driving tractor/trailer, must have a good driving record, must have a current DOT medical card, no DUI/DWI conviction in the past eight (8) years in a personal vehicle. No DUI/DWI conviction in Commercial Motor Vehicle ever. No DOT Drug or Alcohol Violations including Roadside Inspection violations as identified on locations PSP report within the past three (3) years. Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed.

Must not own, possess, or otherwise maintain any domestic, wild or exotic fowl to be considered.
