This is a home daily position driving a day cab on a drop and hook account. Fill in work on off-days to include trailer loads and deliveries throughout the tristate area. If you are hired on we will place into the Local 814 with the Union Hall. 40 hours each week, $30 per hour. Any shift less than 8 hours qualifies as 8 hours. Overtime after 8 hours, and any hours before 7am, or after 1pm also qualify for overtime. Full union benefits after 300 hours accrued in union position. **** for more information! Specific Duties: Frequency Drive tractor-trailer, straight truck or pack van - Daily Packing, including instructing helpers on how to pack - Daily Loading/unloading, including instructing helpers - Daily Inventory shipments - Daily Collect payment for shipment - Daily Supervise crew - Daily Maintain customer relations - Daily Complete all required paperwork - Daily Performance Requirements: Have the ability to work unsupervised Have a thorough understanding of all moving responsibilities Capable of working various shifts CDL-A License Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ability to read and understand D.O.T. regulations and driver logs.
