Job Description

Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Vaccine verification will be required by November 1, 2021 for all Cobb Team Members.

Location: Kentucky Feed Mill, Albany KY

Schedule: MondayFriday

Hours: 5:00 am until job is complete, averaging 40 hours a week. Possiblity of being called in on weekends.

Work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

Position Summary:


This position is responsible for ensuring proper feed delivery to all contract farms and facility complexes, doing a visual inventory of stocked feed and complying with all feed quality standards. Also a visual inspection of all loaded feed will be required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilties


Timely delivery of feed from mill to contract farms and complexes. (70%)
Collects samples for laboratory inspection, showers upon arrival at feed mill. Uses truck wash to wash, disinfect and heat treat equipment. (10%)
Attends in driver safety meetings and completes required D.O.T. reports and Ryder inspection forms. (10%)


Other duties, responsibilities, and activities;


These may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice, such as: dispatch feed as needed, picks up unused feed with reclaim equipment, and prepares feed tickets; performs simple math by maintaining inventory records, calculates feed usage, records feed deliveries. (10%)


Biosecurity Requirements:


The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing, and footwear before entering the facility. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guildelines.


Physical Demands and Work Environment


Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift up to 60 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
Tools and Equipment: water hose with disinfectant spray, 2 gallon pump sprayer in the winter months.

Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to corn and soy dust.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required. Hearing protection will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be worn as needed. Hard Hats, Reflective vests and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed.
Chemicals Commonly Used: Herbicides, Pesiticdes, and Disinfectants.
Safety: TM is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard


Communication, Respiratory Protection, LOTO and Personal Protective Equipment. TM is expected to identify, address and

mitigate safety related risks.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:


Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, 1 year verifiable Class A CDL experience operating a class 8 commercial motor vehicle with clean safety record.
