Job Details:

This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

The chosen candidate must be willing to load and unload trailers, be willing to visually inspect trailers for defects, be willing to stage the trailers in the assigned doors within the parameters set, be willing to perform other assigned duties in the work area approximately 5% of the time, maintain housekeeping in work area by ensuring all trash is removed from the equipment and in the assigned work areas, ensure truck is fueled and add as needed daily, complete a safety checklist at start up daily and document on the proper form to be turned in to management, be able to inventory boxes and keep production stocked, and be able to operate forklift.

The physical demands of the position are to be willing to get in/out of the truck cab 48 inches high off the ground approximately (10% of the time), to get in and out of the Ottawa dock truck, to lift approximately 70 lbs. as needed, to use repetitive motion hands and shoulders as needed, to bend, twist, pull, push, and lift as needed in conditions during the summer with the temperatures 100 degrees or greater at times and in other environmental conditions such as: humid, wet, dry, and slippery, with the noise level of 85db.

Specialized Training Required: Ottawa Dock Truck Operating Training, On Property Commercial Truck Operating Training, Dust Mask Training, current valid Driver’s License, must have tractor trailer driving experience
